Dear Friends,
During these difficult days, it is important that we stay as safe and healthy as possible-we owe it to each other out of Christian charity! Below is some basic information and resources for your reference:
Here is a link to the Archdiocese of Washington's Coronavirus Resources website for your reference: https://adw.org/coronavirus/
As well as a link to the CDC's website for information about how to protect yourself and what to do if you are are sick:
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html
Additionally, please be mindful that during these difficult times, scammers are out in force, preying on the uncertainity and fear we all may experience. Please be mindful of emails, text messages, robocalls, or any other communications you may receive from other messaging platforms that seem odd, suspicious, or out of the ordinary--these communications are likely scams, so simply ignore and delete! Scammers contact innocent people via these platforms to prompt potential victims to enter personal identifiable information (social security number, date of birth, etc.) and other senstive information, such as bank account numbers, email addresses, or passwords. Although we must always be, it is important to be especially mindful now of the communications we receive and respond to.
During these days, it is so important we stay connected with one another however we can, especially those in our midst who may be feeling alone. We pray for one another, certainly, but we also check-in with each other: call your family and friends, see how your neighbors are doing, make the most of your time away from work or school to be with those you love, virtually, if necessary! And we remember those most vulnerable in our midst, those who need our support and encouragement, those who need a friendly face or an encouraging shoulder to lean on. May these days be a time of truly growing in Jesus's great love commandments so clearly laid out in Matthew's Gospel: love the Lord your God with your whole heart, soul, and mind; and, love your neighbor as yourself!

And especially at this time, we seek the intercession of our patron, Saint Joseph. We pray, “Remember, most pure spouse of Mary ever Virgin, our loving protector Saint Joseph, that never was it known that anyone ever invoked your protection or sought your aid without being comforted. Inspired by this confidence, we come to you and fervently commend ourselves to you. Despise not our prayer, dear foster father of our Redeemer, by graciously accept it. Amen.”
Please stay safe, calm, and healthy, and may we all hold onto the great reality that Christ is with us, always! God bless you!
In Christ,
Fr. Andrew
